| | | With 20 years experience in environmental management Mairead Cirillo has worked in over fifteen countries from Ireland to India and Norway to New Zealand, gaining expertise in all aspects of environmental issues as they affect business in a wide range of industrial, commercial and service sectors. She has had many roles including trainer and facilitator; EMS lead assessor; Project and Programme Manager and Evaluator; and Environmental Business Advisor. Her company, Environmental Business Advice was set up in 2002.
Areas of expertise include Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management Systems, Resource / Waste Minimisation and Management, Environmental Legislation, Environmental Training, Energy Efficiency, Institutional Strengthening, Project Evaluation, and identifying “green” market opportunities.
Mairead is a highly motivated and dedicated business woman with a strong sense of commitment to supporting other women aspiring to start up and run successful businesses. She feels strongly that more women should be encouraged to participate and contribute more effectively to Ireland’s economy. Mairead is Chair of the Dublin BusinessWomen’s Skillnet. It is Mairead’s intention to ensure the Skillnet provides tailored training to empower women to maintain a strong focus on business challenges and to achieve their true potential.

| | | Lisa Scully-O’Grady | | | Lisa Scully-O’Grady, a founder member of the steering group, runs her own consultancy, The Business and Marketing Studio, providing practical and creative solutions to the business challenges facing SMEs. Coming from a blue chip corporate background, having managed brands within Thomson Reuters, Reed Elsevier and Mining Journal, she brings a process driven approach to the inherently creative marketing discipline. Passionate about enhancing the role of women in business, she is committed to the training of women to give them the necessary skills to step up to leadership roles and sees DBWS as key in developing entrepreneurs of the future.
Lisa is also a member of The Marketing Institute of Ireland, Network Dublin and DCEB Network for Women. She holds a degree in European Studies – Public Affairs with German, and has postgraduate qualifications in publishing and marketing from Ireland, Germany and the UK.

As the owner of Firecracker Design & Marketing, Derval is passionate about helping Irish SME’s stand out, define their unique point of difference and win more business.
Involved with DBWS since the start, she is commited to the development of women’s business skills, and sees training as a critical confidence builder, and a resource that should be accessible to all. As the designer of the DBWS brand identity she believes that, through training, all women can ‘reach for the stars’ in business.
Prior to founding Firecrcacker Derval graduated from DIT in 1998 with a BA in Design & Visual Communications, and then built on her practical experience by completing a post grad diploma in Marketing in 2004 from Marketing Institute of Ireland. She has worked for some of the top design & advertising agencies in Ireland, gaining extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients both large and small. | | | | | |

| | | Cora Barnes is the MD of Three Q Catering Ltd. Quality Personnel Providers to the Catering Industry, a company she set up with two friends in 1999. Cora graduated with an honors degree in Social Science from UCD in 1999 and in 2002 she undertook a post-graduate Diploma in Business & HRM and graduated with honors from Dublin Business School in November 2004. Cora won the Dublin City Enterprise Board Female Entrepreneur in 2006 and Three Q was the first catering employment agency to achieve the ETP Standard in HR Excellence.
Three Q Catering’s company motto ‘Amat Victoria Curam’ – Success is gained by Careful Attention is the cornerstone of all their activities. She believes that education and learning new skills is vital to the success of any business. | | |
