· Importance of building a website that fits your market & your business
- Market Analysis – Defining your market on the web.
- Focus on your business goals and how the web will help you achieve them.

· Design considerations – Ensure your design entices your users of your website. layout,
look and feel of the site (image for your business – your web shop front!)

Part 2 Afternoon -Web agency liaison and requirements for a successful website

· Getting the most from your web development agency
· Putting a requirements document together
- that will result in a website that will work for your business
- that will enable you to compare quotations between developers

· Choosing a domain & registration –yourbusinessname.com
· Hosting considerations
· Why domains and hosting are important for search engines
· Development – what tools you need to meet your business objectives
· Interaction level – resources within your business to respond to customers
· Content management systems. Management & maintenance of your website.

Course Objectives - Participants will come away from sessions with
· A set of business objectives for the web for their business
· An action plan for their business
· A requirements document outlining what functionality and tools are best suited to their

Trainer Profile
      
Rosey Broderick graduated from the University of Limerick in 1994 with an honours degree in Business Studies & German, having specialised in Marketing. Rosey worked in various sales and marketing roles in technology related businesses both locally and abroad and she also worked in web marketing. Rosey is a qualified webmaster having completed a certification course in 2003 and she set up WebResults in Oct ’07 offering consultancy services. She gives regular mentoring, training, seminars and workshops in online marketing and search engine optimisation to businesses. She also lectures in Online Marketing & Search Engine Optimisation for the ‘Diploma in Digital Marketing‘ at the Fitzwilliam institute in Dublin.
